The first ever private label Walmart brand!!
Cooked up behind the blue walls between the Product Development and Baby departments Pinwheel was modern contemporary baby bedding at unbeatable prices.
I coordinated product development for a Pinwheel experience to launch during the Walmart “Baby Days” sales.
This included working between multiple external vendors, site merchants, Walmart marketing, sourcing, and my own department to ensure that sampling and production were on track to meet the launch and shipping deliverables.
I was the main point of contact for all things Pinwheel, I created the style-guide, designed the packaging, and provided style reference and direction for the product photography.
While working as a product design and development manager at California Accessories I had opportunities to work on licensed as well as proprietary content. Here is a sampling of some of that work.
These were picked up and carried by Walmart stores in 2013, they also did quite well at the optical shows where shops from around the country ordered them.
A pattern of frames with bright colors made this a fun and versatile design seen here on cases for glasses.
These were sold into and carried by Walmart stores in 2014. Contact cases, drawstring bags, lens cloths, sunglass cases, and cases.
I designed the products and managed the licensed relationship between the ASPCA and California Accessories.
I have always LOVED designing footwear! Functional, necessary, and essential to life and health.
Showcase : Teable
Sit - Sip - Store
Inspired by Japanese tea ceremonies and the beautiful way that the act of sitting and drinking tea together is a relaxing and wonderful practice that brings people together to share something warm and relaxing. The Teable is a Tea Table that also features a storage cavity to hold a full tea set as well as some additional tea accessories.
Much of my time working for Walmart.com was spent designing photo gifts and greeting cards for the Walmart.com/photo site. Many of my designs are top performers and still live on the site today.
Here is a sampling of some of my favorites.

Photo greeting card. This card is still a top performer for the walmart.com photo site. We learned a lot from this card as it is currently available with multiple photo aperture options and we experienced boosted sales as we added to those offerings.
Photo greeting card. Watercolor was a big trend that we saw performing on the photo site in 2014-2017. The “watercolor” calendar and photo book that I designed for the photo site in 2014 is still currently a top seller and has been continually used as a merchandising asset that was recently included in a black Friday email in 2018.
This is one of my favorite designs that I did for the holiday 2015 season. I was inspired by glistening frost and am happy with how it turned out.
This card was the second top selling design for the walmart.com photo site in 2015.
Photo greeting card. Following the success of “Christmas Foliage” this design followed the same formula but also played with the rise we were experiencing with invitation sales on the site.
Photo greeting card. This card performed surprisingly well for a non-traditional card in the holiday sales season. It is one of my favorites as it brings with it a storytelling element that also speaks of future fun and adventures. It was also turned into a top selling photo mug design.

I spent some time working for Pottery Barn Kids and got to design toys, decorative accessories, and storage while I was there.
The tops of these opened to expose a large hollow cavity that could be used as storage.

I have always wanted to deign toys, so I did.
Conceived in 2006 these little misfits were born from a love of punk and mischief. They would be packaged in tiny jail cells and would come with a downloadable game individualized to each character. The objective of the game was to make it successfully to the end where the character visits the rest of the crew in jail. If the character is caught along the way they end up behind bars.

In the water we are aliens outside of our own element.
